Swipe up from the Home screen.
If you have an iPhone or iPad running on iOS 11, bring it nearby to sign in automatically.
To set up manually, tap Set Up Manually.
Connect to iTunes.
If cellular network not available, the device must be connected to a Wi-Fi Network.
If prompted, enter the selected Wi-Fi network Password, then tap Join.
Note: If Use Cellular Connection is displayed, the device can be activated using the cellular network.
Once the iPhone is connected, the iTunes application will open automatically.
If iTunes shows Set up as New or Restore from Backup it means that iTunes activated your iPhone.
Note: The first time the iPhone is connected to iTunes, a welcome screen is displayed and click Continue. If this is not the first time connecting to iTunes, click the a setup option, then click Continue.
Click the Get Started button.
Note: If an error in iTunes says that the SIM card isn't compatible, contact Sprint.
If needed, adjust the sync options as needed, then click Sync.
A backup will be created in iTunes automatically. Once the initial backup is complete, unplug the iPhone from the computer.
To set up Face ID, tap Continue.
To set up at a later time, tap Set Up Later in Settings.
Follow the directions provided.
Once Face ID is set up, tap Continue.
To create a passcode, enter a six digit passcode.
Note: To select a different format for the passcode, tap Passcode Options, then tap an option.
Re-enter the password to confirm.
Enter the email address that is associated with your Apple ID, then enter the Password.
Note: To add or set up an Apple ID later, from the home screen, tap Settings, then tap iCloud and enter your Apple ID credentials. To set up a new Apple ID, tap Create a new Apple ID and follow the prompts.
Two-Factor Authentication is a security method used by Apple to verify who is accessing your account.
Enter the code recieved on your trusted phone number.
Note: The Two-Factor Authentication code will be required every time your Apple ID is entered on a new device. The verification code will be displayed automatically on all of your trusted devices, or it will be sent to a trusted phone number.
To use the settings provided, tap Continue.
To customize settings individually, tap Customize Settings.
To set up your Apple Pay, tap Continue.
To set up Apple Pay at a later time, tap Set Up Later in Wallet.
To add a card to Apple Pay, using the iPhone camera, position your card within the frame displayed on the screen.
Alternatively, enter the card number manually by tapping Enter Card Details Manually.
Otherwise, tap Set Up Later in Wallet.
Tap an option for iCloud Keychain.
Note: If prompted, tap Continue.
If the option to Continue was selected in the previous step, follow the prompts to teach Siri to respond to your voice.
Note: To skip the training process, tap Set Up "Hey Siri" Later.
True Tone Display automatically adapts your iPhone to ambient lighting conditions.
To change this, go to Display & Brightness in Settings.
