From the home screen, tap Voicemail.
Note: If the shortcut is missing, tap Apps, then scroll to and tap Voicemail.
Swipe left to scroll through the Welcome to Visual Voicemail messages.
Swipe left when finished.
Tap Personalize now.
Note: If a Welcome to Voicemail prompt appears, tap the desired option.
The handset will automatically dial the voicemail number.
Follow the voice prompts to set up the voicemail account.
Once the passcode, name, and greeting have been set up, listen to the remaining instructions and tips.
Tap End call when finished.
Tap Welcome to Voicemail.
Note: This is a standard greeting message that also serves as an example of how voicemails will appear when they are received.
Tap the Speaker button to turn speakerphone on or off.
Tap the Play button to play the message.
Note: The Play button will turn to a Pause button when the message is paused. Tap the button again to resume listening.
Tap and drag the slider to skip to a specific part of the message.
Tap the Trash icon to move the message to the Trash folder.
To permanently delete messages, tap the Back arrow.
Tap the Trash icon.
Read the Empty Trash folder? message and tap Delete messages.
Voicemail messages are now deleted.
To return to the Inbox, tap Trash.
Voicemail is now set up.
New voicemails will automatically appear in the voicemail list as they arrive.
